The vision for establishing a secondary school was conceived by the then Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Malachy Eleanya, C.S.Sp.
The idea arose from the need to provide quality Catholic secondary education for the many pupils graduating annually
from CKC Nursery and Primary School. Every year, no fewer than fifty pupils graduated from the primary school,
having received sound academic training, strong moral values, and authentic Catholic formation. However,
many of these pupils proceeded to public or private secondary schools where the Catholic values and discipline instilled in
them were often difficult to sustain. This became a major concern for Christ the King Catholic Parish, Awo-Omamma, and the staff
of the Nursery and Primary School, whose efforts in nurturing the children appeared to lose continuity after graduation
